Game anticipation–Final Fantasy XIV

As much as I like Lord of the Rings Online, my computer is ancient, and I can’t justify the expense of a new one to get it to run right (sorry Larry!). Thankfully, I still have a perfectly good Playstation 3, and to scratch my mmorpg itch, Square-Enix is going to relaunch Final Fantasy XIV which will be on PC and PS3 (and can interact on the same realm). Beta sign-ups opened today and they released the opening video:

Wonder why I hadn’t seen you online much – too bad. Keep playing the lottery, and then maybe you’ll get that upgrade!

I wa thinking about trying this game out when it was relaunched, thanks for the heads up about the beta, I’ll be testing it out.
While I have a PS3, I’m going for the PC on this one; MMOS aint so great on consoles, but I hope this one is different.
I still remember back when FF14 was first released…oh my God that was bad. Universally panned. Huge flop. Ouch. It’s nice to see rather than doing the normal thing a video game company would do, drop the product, SquareEnix actually went back to the the drawing board with it. Quite impressive. And with quite impressive results I might add!
